Step 1: Comprehensive Examination ($350)
This detailed exam reveals the root causes of your TMJ pain. Dr. Insolera examines your jaw function, bite alignment, and related structures via tomography x-ray of each joint. This data forms the foundation of your personalized treatment plan.
Step 2: Your Custom Treatment Plan
Your treatment plan includes two distinct phases:
Phase One: Orthotic Therapy (Medical). This phase uses a custom orthotic device to reposition your jaw. The orthotic helps your muscles and joints find their optimal position. Most patients experience significant relief during this phase, posturally and bite-wise. We will be monitoring posture and bite in phase one, approximately six months.
Phase Two: Maintenance Without the Orthotic (Dental). This phase focuses on maintaining your airway position and posture naturally. Every maintenance plan is completely customized for your specific needs. This phase ensures your results last long-term.
Both phases require similar financial investment. Many patients focus only on phase one and forget about the maintenance phase. Dr. Insolera and his team make sure you understand the complete process from day one.
