Our Graduates are Living a TMJ Pain-Free Life

I am in Phase One of treatment, and I’ve had my orthotic for a couple weeks. My first night I slept w/o my jaw sliding all over and waking me up. That was crazy! After two days – no more face pain! At all! That is awesome! Now, this orthotic is weird, and it takes getting used to, but with this kind of relief, I’m not even tempted to take it out. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

My final TMJ smile is totally drop dead fabulous!! Thanx soo much Dr. Insolera and Mary, I appreciate all your perfection driven care.

Dr. Insolara and Mary have been very responsive to my TMJ needs over the past 2 years. My headaches, ear aches, jaw pain, bite inconsistencies etc. are gone and my smile has improved. I strongly recommend that anyone with TMJ ( even if you don’t know you have it) to go in for a consultation at least. You will learn a lot about yourself, your condition and a plan of action.

I was told that I had a moderate to severe case of TMJ. I started to notice the difference the first day. with my new soft mouthpiece.Things got better as I got a thicker one and even better with the hard mouthpiece I have now! Thanks so much!

After just a few visits with Dr. Insolera, I began experiencing life the way it should be. I smile more often, laugh a lot, and truly enjoy life. Thank you Dr. Insolera and the staff at the TMJ Center!

A special thank you to all the staff at the TMJ clinic. You do a fantastic job making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks.

Frequently Asked Questions

TMJ stands for Temporomandibular Joint. This is the jaw joint in front of the ear.

For some people, oral pain comes as the result of tooth decay or gum disease. But for others, jaw problems can be the source of significant discomfort.

“TMJ Disorder” typically describes dysfunction of the jaw muscles and joints. It can be as minor as a slight clicking or popping sensation when the mouth is opened and closed, or as serious as persistent pain extending into the face, neck and shoulders.

The temporomandibular joints connect your lower jaw to your skull. They are sliding “ball and socket” joints and are dependent upon proper alignment to work smoothly. These joints are the most complex and frequently used joints in your body—cycling over 2,000 times per day.
